02. With reference to your Despatch Nơ 171

of the 13th. June, 1902, in which you approved of the grant

of an increase of salary to Messrs. Savage and Martin, -

Supervisors in the General Post Office, I have the honour to

transit for your consideration the enclosed Petition from

the same Officers asking for a further increase.

2.

I have already caused Messrs. Savage and

Martin to be informed that their salaries having so recently

been increased after a very short period of service, I cannot

see my way to recommend that the prayer of their Petition be

granted.
